Dario has more than 10 years of experience in software industry, working in positions ranging from academic research to executive managerial positions. Since his early academic years, he took positions as Teaching Assistant in several Licentiate degree courses at National University of La Plata. In 2000 he joined LIFIA, a research institution within the National University of La Plata, as a research assistant in the areas of Web Application Engineering and Object Oriented Programming. In 2002 he joined Lumina Americas, as a OOP Software Developer focusing on financial information protocols for counterparts in México, USA, and Argentina. He built web-based solutions for Nike Latam promotion campaigns, and was responsible of coordinating actions with peers of the customer companies, and in-place deployment and production assistance. As a Software Architect, he has participated in the construction of subsystems of the CRM, Sales & Distribution platform for British American Tobacco. He built the solution to integrate data between the main system and the handheld devices, developed workflow algorithms, and components for tax calculation and commercial documents. In 2007 he returned to LIFIA to be the head of several projects, such as Ship Tracking System for the Argentinian Department of Defense, Multimedia Content and Web Portal Management for Universia Santander, TV Publica (main Argentinian state TV channel), and other clients thanks to his strategy to build an adaptable and scalable platform. In 2010, he achieved his current position at the Management Board of LIFIA Software Department, leading strategical decisions and managing key project accounts like Federal Network of Knowledge, National GIS Platform, and Optic Fiber National Coverage Implementation for the Argentinian government and Ar-Sat SA


Darío worked in research projects, covering different fields such as Web Engineering, Object Oriented Design Patterns, UML Design and Semantic Web.
